Entrain Space (operating name of Entrain Space Trust) provides a home, support, community and opportunities for ex-service personnel – both service leavers and veterans – who need some additional support in making a successful transition to civilian life.
Our goal is to enable our residents to move on to a secure, fulfilling, and sustainable civilian life after 1–3 years with us.
Our first development, Erskine House in Wilton, near Salisbury, Wiltshire, opened in December 2019. We take ex-service personnel from anywhere in the country and can accommodate singles, couples or families.

– Full-time wraparound professional housing and welfare support, as required
– The Entrain Space Personal Development Program – an individually tailored and directed program of training, apprenticeships, on-site voluntary or paid employment in one of our social enterprises, and local employment and business opportunities
– Great on-site facilities – including a large, well-equipped training suite for residents, offices for our full-time support staff, and the café

Haig Housing Trust is proud to have served the British Veteran community for over 100 years. As the leading housing provider for ex-Service personnel in the UK, the charity owns over 1,500 properties across 50 locations.

The Trust assists eligible Veterans and their families who are in housing need, whether they are transitioning into civilian life or are simply in need of a helping hand.

Haig offers a mix of family-sized and smaller houses, flats and maisonettes on small, well-managed estates. These communities range in size from as small as six properties to our largest estate in Morden, South London, with 350 homes.

Healthier Heroes, offer more than just a safe place to stay, we are a community. Service members are supported by a multidisciplinary team including outreach workers, an in-house psychotherapist, veteran peer mentors, and wellbeing coordinators who help build emotional resilience, practical life skills, and a sense of belonging. Everything, we, as leaders, needed but never received.

Our vision is to inspire a movement of resilience and empowerment, cultivating a healthier future for all. To create a society where every veteran and those from their community, has access to safe housing, the tools, resources, and support needed to lead a healthy, balanced life.

Homeless Veterans Project

To assist practically and financially any former member of the UK Armed
Forces who is Homeless, at risk of being Homeless or in unsafe/ unsuitable accommodation.
To facilitate the transition into secure, permanent accommodation and to put
measures in place / ensure appropriate referrals to ensure this is sustainable
To liaise with the local authorities in terms of veterans’ housing applications to
ensure the veteran is not disadvantaged due to their service or service related
issues.

Support Offered

Assistance with any issues preventing the veteran from transitioning into secure, permanent accommodation (clothing for interviews, signposting for legal/ debt assistance, digital access assistance, transport )
Assist with deposits and 1st month’s rent for Private rentals
Liaison with local authorities and other official organisations where a veteran
is vulnerable and unable to do so.
Ensure that the veteran is referred to the correct organisations in terms of
physical and mental health requirements, benefits / financial support, training
and employment.
Referral to other organisations for Furniture, Carpeting and household goods
and assistance with these in emergency situations
Assistance with removal of furniture and household goods
Assistance with issues that prevent the veteran from sustaining secure
accommodation and family life – emergency hardship payments.

We provide a bespoke housing information and advice service to veterans, serving personnel, reservists and their families.

This service is free and confidential and available to those currently living in, or wishing to locate to Scotland.

Each client receives a detailed housing approach report and follow on help from a named caseworker.

Links Combined Forces has worked with Veterans for over 8 years and have developed the project in line with need. The project currently offers welfare support, signposting, personal development, telephone buddy scheme, NAAFI style coffee mornings throughout Carmarthenshire and daily activities which Include – Miniature Figure Painting, IT, Arts and Crafts, Digital Photography and outdoor activities. The project also supports veterans with volunteering and work opportunities.

The charity is primarily designed as a ‘drop-in’ centre, with no appointments necessary. Our aim is to advise and support former members of our UK Armed Forces, reservists and their families, throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians, who experience any form of disadvantage post service. Support Offered

– A drop-in service from 1000-1600 Monday-Friday with no appointment necessary; our drop-in centre is a safe place for “a brew and a blether” with fellow Veterans and families or to receive specialised support;
– The LVC staff team provides advice and support with issues such as employment, training, housing, homelessness and benefits;
– Through our partnership work we can facilitate quick reaction support for those facing challenges including mental health issues;
– On Wednesdays we have our D Day Club (a social club for Veterans and families aged 50+);
– Fridays are the social hub of the week when we have our bacon roll morning;
– Regular social and sporting events, outings and activities are also popular parts of our programme, including female specific, male specific and LGBT+ events;
– Transition support to serving personnel due for discharge.

Mode Rehabilitation

We are a mental health charity that offers psychological and psychosocial supports the Armed Forces Community, families and carers through counselling and mental health intervention. We provide a single point of access to counselling and support through a range of psychological therapy services and mental health treatments that are tailored to individual’s unique needs.
We provide 1 to 1 counselling, family counselling, group counselling, and various mental health workshops including a “Resilience to Civilian Life” programme which helps veterans with their transition into the civilian world, and the “Lakeside Project” which provides counselling and mental health services at a beautiful location in the heart of a nature reserve for those who do not feel comfortable in a traditional, clinical counselling setting.
