Military Wives Choirs – Marketing & Communications Officer

***THIS JOB VACANCY HAS NOW CLOSED***

Choirs Support Team, Military Wives Choirs
City of London
Salary: £30,675
Permanent Role, Full Time

Are you an experienced marketer who relishes a busy environment with a wide range of responsibilities? Would you like to help us tell our story and bring new supporters on board? If so, this role could be perfect for you.

With 75 choirs and more than 2300 members in British military bases across the UK and overseas, the Military Wives Choirs is a charity that brings women in the military community closer together through singing. Our choir network exists to empower and improve the wellbeing of women across the military community. We are looking for someone who understands why our choirs are so important to our members and has the skills to communicate that to the public via marketing, PR and social media channels.

The network is supported by a staff team of four, working closely with the volunteers who run their local choirs. As the go-to marketing and communications specialist for the network, you will work directly with these volunteers to support and empower them to promote their choir positively through a variety of mediums.

The successful applicant will be able to shape and create internal and external communications, position themselves as the brand champion for the network as well as the public and work with the Director to create exciting, interesting and relevant fundraising communications and audience-focused campaigns that stand out in a competitive sector. You will get the opportunity to lead on high-profile projects with the potential for national opportunities working with a wide range of media, alongside liaising with top agencies and stakeholders.

This is a highly varied role, requiring flexibility with a willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends. It will suit an excellent communicator who is highly organised, can work using their own initiative and likes to be busy.
