Not Forgotten Association – Fundraising Manager (London SW1)

Hours: 4 or 5 days per week
Salary: Up to £40K pro -rata plus generous benefits

The Not Forgotten Association which exists to organise and host a range of events, entertainment and recreational activities for the military serving wounded, injured or sick and also for ex-service men and women with disabilities.  The charity is renowned for its personal style and ethos and for the exceptional and wide ranging support provided to its beneficiaries.

The charity currently seeks an exceptional individual to lead on the NFA’s income generation and to coordinate all fundraising activity with specific responsibilities for grant and trust writing.

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and implement a strategy for all fundraising activity
  • Implement and monitor the programme of applications to grant giving military and civilian trusts, foundations and charities
  • Manage the strategy for identifying and getting to know major benefactors and introducing them to the charity
  • Implement new fundraising ideas
  • Manage and coordinate the output of the Fundraising Coordinator
  • Represent the NFA at events, specifically Royal events

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong empathy with the charity’s objectives and beneficiary base and will be able to engage socially with them, with confidence.  You will bring to the charity a proven track record of successful grant writing, have experience as a fundraiser and be fully conversant with gift aid.  Excellent writing, editing and proofreading abilities are essential alongside comprehensive IT skills.  An individual who shows initiative, flexibility, team spirit and fluent communications skills will fit well into this unique and highly respected charity.

Generous benefits mentioned above include private healthcare insurance, 10% pension and Death in Service.   Full or part-time will be considered along with some flexibility on home-working one day per week.
