Queen Mary’s Roehampton Trust – Trustees

Queen Mary’s Roehampton Trust is a long-standing grant making charity.  Its mission, broadly, is to provide support to persons who served in any of the Armed Forces of the Crown and who were disabled in such service and the widows and other dependants of such persons.  The Trust is now looking to recruit one or more people to join the Board of Trustees.

The Trustees’ role is to set the charity’s strategic direction, monitor the awarding of grants and to provide guidance, advice and support in the delivery of the Trust’s Charitable Objects.

The Trustees welcome applications from people with relevant expertise and experience who have a passion for the Armed Forces charitable sector, an interest in committee work and a willingness to scrutinise applications for financial support to vulnerable members of the wider Service community.

Knowledge of or previous service in the the Armed Forces, a medical background or experience of grant giving are all skills that would be particularly suitable for this role.  Applications from women and people with protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010 are particularly welcome.

This is an unremunerated position although reasonable expenses are paid.
