RAF Association and Wifinity extend agreement for free welfare Wi-Fi provision at RAF sites

Wifinity and the RAF Association have renewed their partnership to continue delivering free Wi-Fi services across RAF Station communal areas, contact houses and trainee accommodation.

Effective from January 2026, the partnership will provide serving personnel, their families and relatives utilising station contact houses vital connectivity which is free at point of use.

The welfare Wi-Fi service offers serving personnel and their families a direct link to stay connected and close to their loved ones. Many contact houses are used by separated parents, allowing their children safe Wi-Fi access within a safe and homely environment. The Association with Wifinity also provides free Wi-Fi for RAF trainees at RAF Halton and the Robson Resilience Centre in Crickhowell, Wales, ensuring they can stay connected with family and friends.

Wifinity has been a trusted partner of the Association service since 2017. The extended agreement reaffirms our shared commitment to delivering exceptional experiences. Together we look forward to creating lasting value for personnel and their communities.

Rory O’Connor, Charity Director at the RAF Association, said:

“We’re delighted to continue our partnership with Wifinity to provide free Wi-Fi access across a growing number of RAF Stations. Maintaining strong social connections with family and friends is vital for serving personnel, particularly those who are away from home for long periods. Being able to speak to loved ones regularly helps reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation, allowing personnel to thrive in their roles in the RAF. We look forward to helping even more RAF personnel to stay in touch.”

Costas Demetriou, Wifinity CEO, said:

“It’s an honour to partner with the RAF Association in helping the RAF community stay connected when it matters most, and contribute to the underlying lived experience of service personnel and their families. This partnership means that we can continue to provide free connectivity, so it’s one less thing they need to worry about. We’re continuing our talks to further our relationship and extend coverage to other areas.”

Wifinity proudly supports the armed forces’ connectivity services at over 150 sites, along with broadband for service family accommodation (SFA) homes. Its goal is to improve the lived experience and aid retention rates for personnel in the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force.
