The Association, along with our subsidiary organisations are united in working together to achieve these aims. Our focus for 2021 and beyond is to continue to deliver our existing services, in addition to developing new service initiatives that meet our organisational goals.
About the team
This is a newly created position to lead, manage and inspire a high-performance team who are passionate about increasing understanding of the Association’s activities, raising its profile and protecting its reputation. You will play a key leadership role within the team with responsibilities which include managing corporate, governance, branch and employee communications and collateral/publications creation. You will oversee PR and media activity, crisis communications, content generation and the expansion of our quarterly membership magazine to a multi media platform. Your team will expect you to inspire, motivate and influence to ensure they have clear, measurable objectives, appropriate levels of support, supervision and training and that their performance is effectively managed.
About you
You will have significant experience of managing corporate communications activity. Previous experience working within the charity sector would be desirable although not essential. A thorough understanding of current legislation (particularly data protection, advertising, media and intellectual property law) and best practice to ensure all activity is fully compliant is crucial to this role along with a proven track record of of working in a senior team to develop and implement integrated communication plans to deliver against multiple objectives.
You will have excellent project management skills to enable you to plan and execute a range of projects in parallel, organise demanding workloads and work under pressure to meet tight timescales and strict deadlines. Previous experience of working within budgetary constraints is essential as you will manage a budget of circa £400k, undertaking multi-year forecasts, KPIs and evaluation and monitoring and providing insightful performance reports
