The RAF Association has a clear objective: to help sustain a resilient and empowered RAF community, including serving personnel, RAF veterans and their families. Through our sector leading services, we offer friendship to the isolated and lonely, sheltered housing for those who want to remain proudly independent and childcare to serving personnel on RAF stations.  We work closely with partner organisations, including other military charities, and have a strong bond with our donors and supporters, giving us the confidence to deliver for our beneficiaries when they need us.

What to expect from the role

The Digital Marketing Executive is responsible for the development and day to day management of all digital marketing activity. Leading the digital marketing team, the role will ensure the RAF Association Group’s web properties offer the best user experience and they are optimised to achieve the most conversions while being recognised as the market-leading destination for RAF community-related information.  In addition,, the role will also contribute to wider organisational marketing, communication and engagement planning and implementation.

How you can make a difference

You will be responsible for managing our digital marketing output and performance, ensuring effective planning and delivery of activity is achieved to maximise engagement and meet agreed programme objectives.  You will be confident in utilising a wide range of analytical tools to understand customer behaviours in order to optimise user experience to improve conversions and enrich customer journeys. You will be take a ‘hands on’ approach managing product development from requirements through to launch by working closely with web development, IE, and CRM.

About you

With a solid background in digital marketing you’ll have in depth experience of delivering integrated digital campaigns along with up to date knowledge of UX including accessible design principles, information architecture and usability analysis. You will be confident in using a range of analytical tools along with experience in search engine optimisation strategy and tracking script implementation. As our subject matter expert you will  lead digital marketing activity taking line management responsibility for our Social Media Officer, providing advice and guidance where needed to support their performance and development.
