About Us

The RAF Association exists to support the RAF community across a variety of services.  We are a group of Charities with our main body being the RAF Association.  In addition, we have several smaller subsidiary organisations, which are all linked to our strategic priorities to positively impact the lives of serving personnel, veterans and their families.  We are proud to have supported over 81,000 members of the RAF community in the last year with both practical and emotional assistance, despite the many challenges presented to us because of the pandemic.  Our focus for 2021 and beyond is to continue to deliver our existing services, in addition to developing new services that are both sustainable and effective.

About the team

Our Head of Casework is a maternity cover position that will lead our welfare offering across the Association, ensuring highest welfare standards are met and engaging with teams and stakeholders to raise the profile of our welfare service.

We have 4 regional casework teams, providing a range of support to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries requesting assistance are provided with a service that will both assist and improve their situation.  Although not an exhaustive list this assistance can range from immediate financial aid and care home top up fees to mobility equipment and home adaptations.  Alongside direct support, the casework teams are also ideally placed to signpost beneficiaries to local services that may also assist them.
