Last year, we supported over 85,500 members of the RAF community who required practical, emotional or financial assistance. For the sake of everyone who needs our help, we continue to evolve and innovate to meet new challenges and remain at the leading edge of service provision. We champion the best interests of the RAF community and work together to make sure no one is ever left behind.

About the role

This is a new position within the Estates Directorate and the Property and Facilities Officer (PFO) will be responsible for coordinating statutory building compliance across our national portfolio of properties. This is a role where the PFO will be fully ‘hands on’ in all aspects of the management of our commercial let and residential tenanted properties.  As well as overseeing and executing a number of compliance and maintenance actions, the PFO will evidence that all external contractors’ accreditation and insurances are valid.  Project management skills will be invaluable in relation to the acquisition and disposal of properties. The PFO is our first point of contact for many of our branches and clubs requiring advice and support relating to all aspects of property and building compliance. A full UK driving licence is an essential requirement for this role as the PFO will be required to arrange site visits which may include an overnight stay.  A moderate level of fitness is required as the PFO will, on occasion, physically clear the building and organise disposal of unwanted items.
