About the team

This is a newly created role based within the Network Infrastructure directorate where you will be working with a fully ‘hands on’ dynamic team providing both front line support and site visits to all Association locations including RAFA Kidz Nurseries and independent living complexes. A key element to the role will be taking a lead in onsite field works for all group locations, being a part of the project team, with tasks ranging from planning through to delivery for IT Infrastructure Projects. You also be able to demonstrate great leadership skills as you will have supervisory responsibility for the development and growth of our support team engineers, leading the day to day coordination of the IT Service desk, providing front line support for all users. About You

Educated to degree level or able to evidence suitable equivalent technical experience gained within a work environment, you will bring strong technical capabilities overall with experience of leading/coordinating an IT Service Desk environment. Up to date knowledge of Windows Operating System management, monitoring and troubleshooting as well as experience of managing and supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory is integral to the role. The role also includes installation and configuration of new hardware devices, (including computer workstations, laptops, tablets, devices, telephone handsets, printers and other peripheral devices). As you would imagine, we need you to be able to translate  technical advice and support into simplified messages to audiences who may lack proficiency in IT.

Overall, our ideal candidate will have the ability to investigate, problem solve and implement technical solutions with minimum of supervision ensuring effective system resilience and to contribute to technical business planning and solution discussions. We will support your development with opportunities to develop your own expertise by undertaking independent project work to bring new ideas and systems to life!
