***THIS JOB VACANCY HAS NOW CLOSED***

Salary: *£28,832 – £30,350 (*Starting Salary)
Permanent
Hours of work: Full Time – 37½ hours per week
Location: Wittering

The role of the RAF Families Federation (RAFFF) is to provide an independent voice for serving RAF personnel and their families, to capture evidence of their views and to advocate on their behalf to senior RAF, MOD staffs and government ministers. It is a confidential service that relies upon the integrity and professionalism of its staff to deliver a Federation that is both credible and respected by all parties.

The Evidence and Issues Manager is responsible to the Director for the collation, analysis and management of evidence gathered from RAF families and serving personnel about their issues, complaints and opinions of life within the armed forces. Using this evidence, the incumbent will identify trends, highlight and investigate areas of concern with existing policies, and draft formal evidence-based reports which can be used to challenge and positively influence areas of service life. This evidence is gathered using both reactive and proactive methods.

Key for this role is a good understanding of the RAF lifestyle and its impact on serving members and their families, and an understanding of the RAF/MOD rules and regulations which impact upon service families. They need to have excellent communication skills and be comfortable presenting to a range of audiences. As custodian of the RAFFF database, their IT skills will need to be strong. They will either need to have – or show the capacity to develop – an understanding of the best practice methodology in how question sets and evidence should be presented. They will relish both the variety of challenges and support that being in cohesive team can bring.

We offer an attractive benefits package including 10% employer pension contribution, 36 days of holiday per annum and excellent further development opportunities.
A clean driving licence is an essential requirement for this role.
