About the Military Co-working Network Project

Working in partnership with the Royal Air Forces Association, in April 2020 the Military Co-working Network received funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Trust Fund to run an independently evaluated pilot project across military bases in the UK and overseas.  The aim of the pilot is to assess the impact of military co-working on military partners, and allow the Ministry of Defence and single Services to understand the potential benefits, and how future support should be taken forward.

You will be joining the project at an exciting time – we are recruiting now to ensure a step change in capacity to manage this work, and there is a small and passionate team looking forward to working with you.  We need a flexible, approachable and committed colleague who shares our vision of removing disadvantages for military families.

How you can make a difference

A new role has opened up at the Military Co-working Network as the pilot project enters its final and most crucial year.  We now have nine growing Hubs, and our first independent evaluation has come back with some really strong feedback about our impact.  Could you be the right person to help us continue on this journey, and ensure that the Hubs continue to have a presence on military units beyond the life of the project? We need someone to grow membership further at our Hubs – coming up with new ideas on how to connect with military spouses at each location, building relationships with a range of stakeholders at those locations, and ensuring people are aware of the Hub and its benefits.

About you

You will be a self-starter with a range of ideas of how to do this, and relevant skills and experience that will enable you to hit the ground running.  Ideally you will be a highly motivated, resourceful and enthusiastic individual with experience in two or more of the following fields – stakeholder management; membership or customer support roles; community development – driving engagement with potential users/customers in a physical location. You will need to be confident in the use of social media.

The role requires a UK driving licence as you will have the opportunity to visit the hubs occasionally to see the difference that your role makes to this exciting new project.
