RAFAKidz Special Educational Needs and Inclusion Lead

£42-£45k plus car allowance

Based at our HQ in Leicester LE3 1UT with agile working.  Required to travel throughout UK to visit settings.

A UK driving licence is an essential requirement for this role

RAFAKidz nurseries are located across the country on (or close to) RAF and MOD stations. About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated team member who has an inclusive approach to SEND and wants to help support our nurseries and children achieve their full potential. As the RAFAKidz SEND Lead, you will support nurseries in removing barriers to learning for children with SEND, ensuring all children can access the curriculum appropriately, whilst encouraging quality teaching and learning. You will report to the Director of Operations, who is responsible for leading and driving growth within the RAFAKidz childcare offering.

You will lead the SEND strategy for RAFAKidz nurseries, ensuring the systematic teaching of basic skills and the recording of impact is consistently high. Through collaboration with all stakeholders and outside agencies, you will develop a coherent and effective strategy for inclusion. You will support the delivery of high standards of SEND care and education by ensuring compliance to the SEND policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, providing sound advice to the Operations Managers and Nursery Managers. You will lead, motivate, support, challenge and develop all RAFAKidz employees to ensure continuous improvement.

About You

You will have previous experience of SEND delivery within the nursery and education sector, with a minimum Level 3 SEND qualification and Paediatric First Aid (full). You will have excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current Ofsted statutory guidance, with proven practical experience of implementing good quality learning opportunities.

You will have experience in leading and motivating a team, resulting in excellent, proactive team engagement and involvement. You will also have a strength in engaging and communicating appropriately and positively with children, parents and others.
