RBLI – E-Commerce Manager

Full time, permanent contract, working 37 hours per week

Based in Aylesford, Kent with travel

Salary: £30-32,000 per annum

Main purpose of job:

The role is accountable for increasing online revenues.  The responsibilities range from: managing our online ecommerce platforms and product listings, supporting the head of marketing with annual campaigns to create engaging e-commerce ads that achieve maximum conversion rates to increase revenue for our online shop.

You will have an entrepreneurial spirit and a can-do attitude and won’t be afraid to get your hands dirty. In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop products in our range.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop RBLI’s e-commerce strategies in order to hit our online revenue targets
  • Plan and execute marketing activities to support product launch deadlines and campaign dates
  • Analyse online visitor traffic and behaviours to enhance customer experience to increase better outcomes
  • A/B testing in order to improve conversion rates and increase revenue
  • Identify new audiences and products to attract new revenue opportunities
  • To set up and track end to end online visitor activities in order to submit a detailed report on e-commerce KPIs on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis

Day-to-day Operation:

  • Manage and update RBLI’s Shop which sits on the Shopify platform
  • To work with internal and external teams to improve the shop experience
  • To add, amend and delete products, to ensure the correct price and description is added after sign off
  • Ensure we have quality product photography on the shop
  • Descriptions are correct and up-to-date
  • Make sure all the customer touch points and messages are correct, timely, recorded and archived
  • To submit any new product cost sheets and recommended pricing to accounts before uploading into the online shop
  • Work with the relevant teams to ensure online adverts are optimised and performing at maximum level
  • Work with our social media team to add activities to the calendar to help drive traffic to the website and store
  • Create relevant, valuable and engaging content for RBLI’s target audience
  • Oversee the e-commerce experience and related workflows to provide the best online experience across the entire customer journey
  • Handle all customer queries and complaints
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing Teams on product development
  • Monitor customer feedback and reviews online and provide feedback for the company
  • Report on inventory and logistics to make sure we are well stocked to ensure we don’t run out of products To ensure you manage customer expectations at all times
  • Work with third party PPC team and designers, internally and externally

  • Well organised with excellent planning skills; analytical, a logical, systematic thinker with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload

  • Possess tact, diplomacy and have the ability to communicate and act as an advocate at all levels both within an organisation and with external agencies and partners
  • Possess well-developed customer service skills to both internal and external customers (colleagues and clients)
  • Commercial or charity sector background an advantage
  • Excellent, collaborative team player

Skills & Qualifications Required:

Essential:

  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience, with at least one year, focused on e-commerce and knowledge of Shopify or other similar e-commerce platforms
  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency with Excel and Google Analytics, with a thorough understanding of ecommerce marketing funnel, including Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Google ad words, pay-per-click campaign, and data tracking
  • A growth mind-set that can analyse an issue, identify an opportunity, and develop tactics to drive change in a logical way
  • Evidenced track record delivering against sales, reach and/or engagement targets

Desirable:

  • Bonus: HTML/CSS, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, CIM or related fields is desirable
