About the team
We have an exciting opportunity for the right person here at our office based at RAF Wittering. We are a welcoming team, and everyone will be keen to help you settle into the role. This position is suitable for agile working and we offer a good degree of flexibility, however the post holder should expect to attend the office for two or three days each week. Our current Communications Manager – the fabulous Caroline – has been with us for eight years and has led some exciting changes. Our team are really invested in what we do, and absolutely want to help you in understanding the unique selling points of our services, and who the audience should be – we need your skills to help us market them!
About You
Are you passionate about spreading the word about services that can help RAF personnel and families? You might have a background in digital media, editing or traditional marketing – all those skills would be relevant here. You will lead a team to share vital updates in an understandable and engaging way, with plenty of scope to try innovative approaches. You will network with as many relevant stakeholders as possible to help ensure that our services are well known and lead the process of editing of our quarterly magazine Envoy (print and digital.) An understanding and empathy of the service lifestyle is key, along with the ability to present to audiences about what we do. A UK driving license is required as you will be required to occasionally travel to meetings and events throughout the UK for which we will reimburse travel costs
