Royal Air Forces Association – Area Volunteer Coordinator (Leicester)


Hours: 37 ½ hours per week
Salary:* £16,522- £17,392 (*Starting salary) per annum
Location: Leicester (To cover South East and Eastern Area and Northern Area)

The Royal Air Forces Association is the charity that supports the RAF family. From an injured airman fighting to get back on his feet, to a child missing a parent working away from home, to a WWII veteran in need of companionship, the Association is there.

The Association are looking for a volunteer coordinator, who is articulate, confident, a good people person and is able to motivate others. We need them to help us recruit volunteers for a wide variety of exciting volunteering roles. The post holder will take responsibility for recruitment of volunteers in the Association’s South East and Eastern Area and the Northern Area and respond to any volunteering enquiries.

Working for the Volunteer Manager and alongside the area team, the Area Volunteer Coordinator will provide centrally based networking, publicity, and administrative services for all regional volunteering recruitment activities. They will help the Association build contacts with the communities within their region and undertake occasional recruitment events and talks from which the Association recruit volunteers.

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in volunteering and an appreciation of the value of volunteers, be Office 2010 or higher proficient, have previous administrative and recruiting experience, as well as the ability to organise interesting and interactive events or talks.
