The Royal Air Forces Association is the charity that supports the RAF family. From an injured airman fighting to get back on his feet, to a child missing a parent working away from home, to a WWII veteran in need of companionship, the Association is there.

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant (AA) to assist with the production of financial and management information for internal and external stakeholders. The AA will assist; the Financial Accountant with the production of the Monthly Finance Pack, the Financial Accountant with the production of Statutory Accounts and supporting documentation for audit, the Head of Finance with the budget and forecasting process and manage monthly reconciliations including suspense accounts, bank accounts (Welfare, Covenant, and Areas accounts), petty cash (HQ, Areas and Hotels) and intercompany accounts among other duties.

The ideal candidate will have the experience in the accounts department of a similar sized organisation (Up to £10M and 250 employees), experience of; assisting production of statutory and management accounts, using accounting software such as SAGE, using databases, using Microsoft office package to an intermediate level and AAT Level 4 or relevant experience.

The post is based at our new Head Office at Braunstone Frith and is not suited to someone wanting to work from home. The post holder will be required to travel throughout the country on occasions and therefore a driving licence is essential.
