The Royal Air Forces Association is the charity that supports the RAF family. From an injured airman fighting to get back on his feet, to a child missing a parent working away from home, to a WWII veteran in need of companionship, the Association is there.

The Association is looking for an Internal Auditor to design, prepare and execute an agreed internal audit plan, designed to test and improve the Association’s financial processes and to prepare audit findings reports for initial review by the Financial Controller. The Financial Controller will also interpret audit findings and formulate recommendations to business managers.

The ideal candidate will be a Qualified accountant (ACA,ACCA,ACMA,AAT) or qualified by experience, they will have the knowledge and experience of the preparation of audit plans and be able to effectively measure progress and audit results. The Internal Auditor will have the knowledge and experience of the preparation of financial models and the assessment of financial viability of business projects. They will have the knowledge of the application of Charity Funds, preparation of statutory returns and reports. In addition to this, the Internal Auditor will also have knowledge and experience of using accounting software such as SAGE and of working with budget holders and key stakeholders.
