Term Time 25 hours per week 07.20am – 9.15am then 2.45pm – 5.50pm

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Play Leader to support our very popular Out of School Club. After breakfast you will be adept at matching the right wellies and school bag to the appropriate child and escorting them safely to school whilst perhaps chatting about what exciting activities they can look forward to at the end of the day! If you love getting children involved in meaningful and rewarding activities then this job is 100% for you! This role offers great flexibility as whilst the hours are worked at either end of the day, there will be an opportunity from time to time to get paid to play additional daytime nursery hours such as holiday or absence cover (Optional – to be discussed at interview)

You will hold a minimum Level 3 Play Work (or Early Years) qualification and ideally have leadership experience to lead and manage the day to day running of the Out Of School Club setting. You will be full of creative and inspiring ideas to stimulate good quality play activities within a safe and caring environment for children aged 4-11 years old before and after school hours.

You will support the nursery management team to manage children’s bookings and registers, and staff rotas, ensuring the effective deployment of staff throughout the session. Previous experience of staff supervisions and appraisals would be desirable although training will be provided. Excellent verbal and written skills are integral to this role to develop meaningful relationships with the children, staff and parents.

Following a successful interview and conditional job offer, you will receive friendly one to one support with an HR advisor who will personally guide you through the new starter on boarding process. When in post you will be encouraged by your management team to take up all available opportunities for learning and personal development. We pay the cost of your DBS and supply free uniform. Other benefits include access to our Employee Assistance Programme, ongoing training provision and a company pension. The full job description is available on our website www.rafa.org.uk
