Hours of work: Full Time
Location: Leicester
When someone in the RAF family needs help, the charity they turn to is the Royal Air Forces Association. We’re there whenever an injured airman is fighting to get back on their feet or the widow of a WWII veteran needs a shoulder to lean on. Whatever their need, they can rely on us every step of the way to give practical assistance, expert advice and emotional support.
The RAF Association has ambitious goals for their trust and foundation fundraising activity and are looking for an experienced fundraiser with a proven track record of success in soliciting and managing five and six figure grants.
Joining the Major Gifts team, you’ll be responsible for identifying and articulating fundable opportunities and, using a pipeline approach, submitting high quality proposals to potential funders. You’ll oversee implementation of the grants you win, ensuring that funder conditions are adhered to and you’ll undertake appropriate reporting.
You’ll be a highly-organised self-starter with excellent written English and the ability to proactively seek out funding opportunities. You’ll also have a good grasp of legal, governance and risk issues. You’ll share our determination to help RAF personnel and their families who have sacrificed so much in the service of their country – and you’ll be able to inspire this passion in others.
The post is based at our Head Office in Leicester.
If you’re interested in the role the Association would love to hear from you.
