Royal Air Forces Association – Welfare Volunteer Training Manager

Salary: *£31,894 -£33,573 (*Starting salary)
Hours of work: 37 ½ hours per week
Location: Leicester

We’re there whenever an injured airman is fighting to get back on their feet or the widow of a WWII veteran needs a shoulder to lean on. Whatever their need, they can rely on us every step of the way to give practical assistance, expert advice and emotional support.

The RAF Association are looking for a creative and highly organised Welfare Volunteer Training Manager (WVTM) for an immediate start to be responsible for managing the direct delivery of accredited and non-accredited welfare training for RAF Association (the Association) volunteers in accordance with the Association Business Plan. The WVTM will develop responsive training initiatives to meet the needs of the organisational plan, and demonstrate through evaluation of the training outcomes, the efficacy of current training practices and report/collate information/statistics to the Senior Management Team.

The ideal candidate will be educated to a degree level or have similar experience of Welfare Training. They will also have experience of designing and delivering training to others, using a variety of methodologies and knowledge of Social care systems and welfare benefits (particularly those relating to older and disabled people).

The post is based at our new Head Office at Braunstone Frith. The post holder will be required to travel throughout the country on occasions and therefore a driving licence is essential.
