The RNBT is commissioning a luxury 66 Bedded Nursing, Dementia and Residential home in Portsmouth, due to open June 2022. The home serves Royal Naval veterans (45+years of age), and their dependents and offers the post holder the opportunity to be part of a forward thinking management team who want to facilitate a truly outstanding home including employing and developing nurses and care givers.

The post holder will be central to the commissioning process, initially leading the clinical elements of commissioning and developing and implementing whole systems for care to support the homes community. In addition the post holder will oversee the employment and participate in the training of care givers and nurses.

Promoting team work throughout the home is core to the delivery of excellence in care provision, ensuring clinical audit and compliance targets are met and to advise senior management on clinical issues as needed.

The post holder will not only advice but be part of the senior management team supporting the Home Manager in the day to day management of the home, contribute to the strategic direction, Quality Assurance and governance.

As the Clinical Lead the post holder will guide and mentor Care Practitioners, Associate Nurses and Nurses as well as innovate through a sound knowledge of disease management. It is the Clinical Leads responsibility to build trust and show leadership skill and be a champion for dignity & respect.
