Do you want to use your content creation skills to make a difference in the charity sector?

Scotty’s Little Soldiers are a £1.5m UK national charity which provides specialist support for bereaved military children and young people (aged 0-25). We supported 591 young people in 2022 and have a long-term goal to be supporting over 1,000 children and young people by 2030. We will need to grow our income streams to around £3m to achieve this. We deliver 4 Family Programmes; SMILES, SUPPORT, STRIDES and SPRINGBOARD, which provide a range of emotional and educational support for bereaved military families.

Scotty’s Little Soldiers are looking to recruit a Content Creator with a passion for social media marketing, who can spot current trends, understand best practices, and use this knowledge to increase awareness of Scotty’s and drive engagement with our supporters.

With a combined following of over 100k across our social platforms, you will be accountable for:

  • Proactively creating engaging social media content that drives conversions and interactions.
  • Building an audience of potential supporters who will go on to fundraise, donate, or support the charity in some way.
  • Managing the engagement and interactions of supporters on our social platforms.

We’re looking for a dynamic, creative individual with a strong understanding of social media platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Youtube, Twitter and LinkedIn) and experience of creating impactful content. You will be familiar with tools such as Adobe Premier, After Effects, CapCut, Photoshop and Canva. You will be quick to jump on new trends and be comfortable reviewing analytics and making recommendations to improve future content.

If working remotely, there is an expectation that you will be in the office up to 12 days per annum for team meetings and training sessions. This role will also require you to travel to various events and locations, so a full, clean driving licence is essential.
