4624 Squadron will complete 624 miles for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity over four weeks.
From Monday 1 February 2021, 4624 Squadron phase two training personnel will complete 624 miles in support of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity and the Oxford Hospitals Charity over 4 weeks.
Each participant will run 3.18 miles every day throughout the month of February, a total distance of over 89 miles.
On the final day of the challenge, Sunday 28 February 2021, the team will have covered a total distance of 624 miles.
Every year, 4624 Squadron phase two training personnel, raise funds for a military charity. This year, they have decided to support SSAFA.
SSAFA is a UK charity that provides lifelong support to serving men and women, reservists and veterans from the British Armed Forces and their families or dependents.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic the Squadron thought it would be appropriate to also support and raise funds for a local NHS charity – the Oxford Hospitals Charity.
The Squadron have already raised an amazing £2,000 smashing their target of £1,150. If you would like to support them further, donate here: https://www.justgiving.com/team/BMT35CharityEvent
