37.5 hours per week

Please note this role is fixed term for one year.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Executive Assistant in the Client Services team at SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity.

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic, highly-organised and emotionally intelligent Executive Assistant that can manage the administrative and operational support to a busy Director and six senior managers.

The Client Services directorate sits within the busy and fast paced portfolio of Volunteer Support. The directorate provides support for client facing services such as housing, adoption, Forcesline (SSAFA helpline) support groups and more. The directorate is diverse in the services provided and thus engages with a variety of individuals with differing needs.

Requirements

To carry out this role successfully you will have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all audiences
  • Proven ability to collate information for Managers
  • Experience of minute taking
  • Experience of drafting letters on behalf of senior managers/directors
  • Experience of working with bereaved individuals and / or individuals with high emotions
  • The ability to produce reports to a high standard
