A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Committees Clerk to join the Management Department at SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced high level administrator to provide support for all SSAFA committees and Council, as well as company board meetings and related sub-committees. This role will involve making all meeting arrangements, including drafting agendas and collating and issuing papers. You will be responsible for taking minutes during the meetings and following up on actions as required.


To carry out this role successfully you will have:

  • Strong administration and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced IT skills within MS Office
  • Ability to work to deadlines and produce time critical reports
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Previous experience of minute taking would be an advantage
