A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time Digital Content & Engagement Manager in the Digital & Innovation department at SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity.

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, has been providing lifelong support to our Forces and their families since 1885. Last year our teams of volunteers and employees helped more than 85,000 people in need, from Second World War veterans to young men and women who have served in more recent conflicts, and their families. About the role

We are seeking a Digital Content & Engagement Manager for adapting, improving, and maintaining a wide range of digital content, to increase engagement and income across all our digital channels.

You will play a key role in designing digital content and how it meets the user needs by transforming and optimising digital content on the website and other channels.

You will be working closely with the Digital, Marketing & Brand, PR, Volunteering, Fundraising and Services teams to plan, tailor, and deliver digital content, campaigns, and communications to reach and engage new and existing audiences, driving growth.

You will manage a team that consists of a Digital Campaigns Manager and Email Marketing Executive. You and the team will the lead the delivery of digital content, paid activity, email marketing and engagement projects, reporting and analysis, monitor trends in digital development, and support and develop your team to drive a performance-based culture.

Your role is pivotal with the development and delivery of an integrated digital content strategy to support fundraising, volunteering and broader organisation to raise awareness of the SSAFA brand.

About you

To carry out this role successfully, you will have a solid understanding of digital content marketing and strategy implementation, which drives the best engagement and response amongst different target audiences. You will have a proven track record in crafting, commissioning, designing and publishing a range of creative digital content.

You will have strong project management skills in project managing multiple projects ensuring digital content and engagement objectives are met to maximise income, engagement, and ROI. You will have demonstratable experience understanding of user research, data analytics and user testing methods to make content more relevant to audience groups

You will have previous line management experience with the ability to coach and develop your team.

Interview Date: 1st stage interviews 19 and 20 July.  2nd stage interviews 22 July.  Please note that this will be a two stage interview process and you will be asked to do an aptitude test and prepare a presentation, followed by set questions in the interview.
