A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time fixed term Family Support Worker in the Stepping Stone Home Scheme at SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity.
About the role
We are seeking a self-motivated organised person to join our team and contribute to the support provided to clients within the service; acting as the point of contact for beneficiaries and supporting them emotionally and practically.
SSAFA’s Stepping Stone Home Scheme is unique. It aims to provide fully-furnished, temporary accommodation, combined with emotional support & practical advice, and help in acquiring permanent onward housing for all the families who take up residency, be they separated Service families, separated ex-Service families, or similar nominees of the Local Council.
Requirements
To carry out this role successfully you will have experience of working with vulnerable families. Excellent interpersonal skills, organisational and I.T. skills are also essential, as are a commitment to providing a quality service. Applicant must also be willing to undertake any relevant training required.
