A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time HR Advisor in the Human Resources department at SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced HR generalist to provide professional and expert advice to managers on a range of HR matters, including employee relations. You will manage all employee relations issues independently, ensuring that consistent, effective and well-informed decisions are made. This is an opportunity to expand your existing skills in this diverse environment as no two days in the office are the same!
In addition, you will design and deliver coaching sessions to line managers to equip them with the skills and confidence to manage their teams effectively. The role involves occasional travel throughout the UK and overseas, sometimes at short notice. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will be diplomatic, proactive and collaborative.
This is an exciting time to join the HR team as we embark on a number of interesting projects.
Requirements
To carry out this role successfully you will have solid HR generalist experience, with a background of dealing with complex employee relations situations. Up to date knowledge of employment law is essential, along with a proven record of being a credible source of advice to the organisation.
The successful applicant will have excellent time management and prioritisation skills, exceptional interpersonal & communication skills and demonstrate resilience while under pressure.
