Salary – £20,000-£26,000 p.a. depending on experience
SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity, are seeking an HR & Training Officer to supplement the team based in Bielefeld, Germany for a period of 18 months. The SSAFA GSTT Care LLP provides healthcare services across British Forces Germany to serving soldiers and the families who accompany them. About the role
SSAFA currently employs approximately 130 staff throughout BFG. The HR team provide a full generalist service to the business; providing rock-solid administration and enabling our employees to deliver SSAFA’s aims and objectives.
The ideal candidate will be part or fully CIPD qualified, with some previous HR experience. The role involves a broad range of activities including recruitment, employee relations and training administration. You should have some experience of advising managers on policy and processes, and knowledge of UK employment law.
Requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, with the ability to work with a variety of people. You will need to be highly organised with sound administrative and computer skills and an eye for detail. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to take minutes is required. An understanding of the military environment and/or health and social care is an advantage but not essential. Ideal candidates will work well within a team as well as on their own initiative.
