A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Learning and Development Manager in the Learning and Development team at SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity.
About the role
We are seeking a Learning and Development professional to support our talented employees and volunteers develop their skills and knowledge.
In this role, you will be passionate about helping people learn and grow. Your challenge will be to partner with teams to understand business needs and analyse and advise on key learning and development initiatives that support the delivery of our strategic business objectives. You’ll also design and deliver, or commission, development solutions using a range of delivery methods, each tailored for the specific needs of SSAFA.
Managing the return of investment evaluations on all our learning and development activities will be important too, as will acting as the key point of contact for partnered areas of the business. You will support the Global Head of Learning and Organisational Development in the continued development and delivery of the wider learning and development strategy, such as performance management, leadership development, and employee engagement. We will count on you to deliver! To put simply, it’s a great place to make the most of your Learning and Development expertise!
Requirements
To carry out this role successfully you will need a proven track record of being proactive, creative and customer-focused. You will also have:
- Knowledge of best practice learning and development techniques and experience of applying and evaluating them in a complex., widely distributed environment.
- Experience of creating and delivering strategic training and development plans in a volunteer setting.
- Experience of working in a line management or supervisory role with multiple direct reports.
- A strong commitment to providing high quality services.
- Experience of delivering major project deliverables on-time and on-budget.
