SSAFA – Programme Administrator

***THIS JOB VACANCY HAS NOW CLOSED***

Salary: £25,000 per annum pro rata

22.5 hours – 1-year contract

London

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a part-time Programme Administrator to join the SSAFA@140 Programme Team at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity for a period of 12 months.

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, supports the person behind the uniform; any time they need us, in any way they need us, for as long as they need us. Every year, SSAFA helps more than 82,000 people from the Forces family to get back on their feet; those currently serving, reserves, veterans and their families. Support is there for people at any stage in their military career; from the youngest recruit to the oldest veteran – no one’s service is ever forgotten. We give hope, help and personal support for as long as it takes to get that person’s life back to where they want it to be.

About the role

You will be supporting a small but busy programme team for SSAFA@140, a large organisational change programme. This is a good opportunity to learn more about project management skills and techniques and would be of interest to anyone interested in pursuing a career in project management.

This is a 3 day a week position. We are open to discussing the possibility of occasionally working from home and working flexibly.  Please wait until the job offer stage before asking us about flexibility, and we will explore what’s possible for the role.

About the team

We are small, friendly Programme team, working across SSAFA’s network of volunteers around the country and abroad. We also have significant contact with senior level stakeholders (including our National Chairman, Trustees, CEO and Directors). We value our open, innovative, can-do team spirit and enjoy delivering this exciting programme against a backdrop of changing priorities and some uncertainties.
