A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Public Relations Manager in the Marketing and Communications Department at SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity.

About the role

We are seeking a PR Manager to support the Head of PR in the delivery of SSAFA’s public relations strategy, which forms part of the organisation’s wider external communications strategy. You will deliver eye-catching, impactful campaigns to raise awareness of the services we provide for servicemen and women, veterans and their families as well as supporting key initiatives.


To carry out this role successfully you will have:

  • Experience of delivering high-impact PR campaigns which raise an organisation’s profile in a crowded marketplace.
  • Experience of working in a busy press office or PR team
  • The ability to manage projects with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Experience of line management.
