A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Recruitment & Membership Advisor in the Volunteer Operations department at SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity.

About the role

We are seeking a Recruitment & Membership Advisor to join SSAFA’s dynamic team of Volunteer Support Advisers and work closely with our extensive volunteer network based in the UK and Overseas to facilitate recruitment and membership processes.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who will be responsible for acting as the first point of contact for all prospective volunteers to SSAFA, conducting the initial interview with potential volunteers before referring them to the appropriate volunteer services and keeping the internal potential volunteers’ database up to date. Post holder will also be responsible for processing volunteer application forms in a timely manner, sending out welcome email to new volunteers and liaising with branches re recruitment issues.

This is a fixed term role until 31 May 2019.

Requirements

To carry out this role successfully you will have a passion to work with volunteers and specialist staff. You must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, willingness to learn new things, be adaptable and flexible and able to establish and maintain relationships. Experience working with CRM databases is desirable but not essential.
