SSAFA – Regional Administrator (North West England)

£19,500 per annum pro rata

Fixed term contract until June 2021

16 hours per week 

Homebased – North West England 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a fixed term and part time Regional Administrator in the North West England Region at SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity.

About the role

Working as part Regional Team, and with the support of the Regional Support Co-ordinator’s, this exciting role will be a chance to help shape the future of the SSAFA branch network.  The postholder will be a first point of contact and provide day to day administrative support to the region.  You will be working closely with the local ex-service and service community, with branch volunteers and other key stakeholders to assist in delivering a highly responsive and quality service.

Requirements

To carry out this role successfully you will be a team player with excellent administration, call handling, communication and IT skills.  You will also have experience of delivering excellent customer service and the ability to handle welfare cases with sensitivity and empathy.

You must be flexible and willing to travel within the North West area. Experience of working with volunteers and knowledge of the Armed Forces and ex-Forces community would be an advantage but is not essential.
