***THIS JOB VACANCY HAS NOW CLOSED***

£23,000 per annum

37.5 hrs

Home Based in the South West of England

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Regional Administrator to join the South West Region at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.

About the role

You will be providing specialist administrative support, working closely with branch volunteers in order to ensure a consistent, timely, quality service is provided to SSAFA beneficiaries.  This will include supporting volunteer caseworkers, call handling, sign-posting and triaging initial enquiries.   The post is home-based but you will need to be able to travel around the South West (Devon, Cornwall and Somerset) once COVID restrictions are lifted.

Please wait until the job offer stage before asking us about flexibility, and we will explore what’s possible for the role.

About the team

In this new role you will initially be working closely with the volunteers who run SSAFA Cornwall, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries but also facilitating their work to raise awareness of SSAFA, increase the number of volunteers and build a sustainable future for SSAFA Cornwall.  Over time we anticipate that the successful candidate will increase their support to SSAFA branches in Devon, Plymouth and Somerset.

About you

You will need to have proven experience in delivering excellent customer service, the ability to plan and manage your own workload and demonstratable experience of high-quality administration skills using Microsoft office 365 suite.

Whilst a Passion and drive for the cause of our charity is key, it would also be beneficial to have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families.
