SSAFA – Regional Casework Manager – Wales

£28,000 per annum

37.5 hours per week

Home based – Wales

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Regional Casework Manager for Wales at SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national Armed Forces charity.

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, supports the person behind the uniform; any time they need us, in any way they need us, for as long as they need us. Every year, SSAFA helps more than 82,000 people from the Forces family to get back on their feet; those currently serving, reserves, veterans and their families. Support is there for people at any stage in their military career; from the youngest recruit to the oldest veteran – no one’s service is ever forgotten. We give hope, help and personal support for as long as it takes to get that person’s life back to where they want it to be.

About the role

Working as part a Regional Team, and with the support of the Regional Operational Support Manager, this exciting role will be to oversee delivery of the casework service across Wales.  Acting in conjunction with SSAFA colleagues, and in support of Branch Chairmen and volunteers ensuring a consistent, timely, quality service to SSAFA beneficiaries.

Requirements

To carry out this role successfully you will be a team player with the ability to build and sustain relationships with a range of stakeholders.  You will have excellent IT, monitoring and reporting skills as well as experience of managing employees and working closely and engaging with volunteers.  You will also have experience of delivering support services to clients and a commitment to SSAFA’s values.

You must be willing to travel occasionally to SSAFA to the eight branches across Wales.

Anglesey – Gwynedd – Clwyd – Powys – Gwent – Cardiff and the Vale – Mid Glamorgan – SW Wales.

An understanding of the way of life for todays Armed Forces, veterans and their families would be an advantage but is not essential.
