***THIS JOB VACANCY HAS NOW CLOSED***

£28,000 per annum

37.5 hours per week

Central Office, London with flexibility to work remotely

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time Regional Digital Marketing Executive to join the Digital Team at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, supports the person behind the uniform; any time they need us, in any way they need us, for as long as they need us. Every year, SSAFA helps more than 85,000 people from the Forces family to get back on their feet; those currently serving, reserves, veterans and their families. Support is there for people at any stage in their military career; from the youngest recruit to the oldest veteran – no one’s service is ever forgotten. We give hope, help and personal support for as long as it takes to get that person’s life back to where they want it to be.

About the role

The Regional Digital Marketing Executive will maintain, curate, and help grow SSAFA’s brand through our existing local social media channels and web presence.

The Regional Digital Marketing Executive will be responsible for driving content to increase SSAFA’s reach and engagement at branch / regional level, in collaboration with the Global Social Media Manager. This includes monthly reporting on reach and engagement.

Working with specialist services teams, the role will allow SSAFA’s clients to be supported through their preferred contact methods and touchpoints via our local social media channels and website.

This role is vital to enable our supporters and people looking for help to experience the best possible service when they come to SSAFA through our local social media and web channels, working with the Volunteer Operations and Volunteer Experience teams and local volunteers to support our local branch social media activity across the UK, and working collaboratively with SSAFA’s branch volunteer network.

The Regional Digital Marketing Executive will be responsible for managing 12+ Digital Marketing Volunteers across SSAFA’s volunteer network to deliver best practice, training, and technical guidance – helping to develop unique local social media content and maintain a varied, relevant, and engaging content calendar. The role will also develop local paid Facebook strategy, working with the Global Social Media Manager, to streamline branch fundraising, volunteer recruitment and client outreach activity.

We are looking for an individual who is educated to degree level or with relevant practical experience. Previous experience of the voluntary sector and working in social and digital media is desirable.

To carry out this role successfully you will have a solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms, including paid activity for brand awareness, client outreach, volunteer recruitment, and fundraising. You will have experience of using enterprise social media management tools such as Falcon, Sprout, Hootsuite, or similar, and data analysis skills including experience of Excel to draw actionable insights.
