Do you have direct experience or strong ties to the military? Are you looking for a role where you can offer your own lived experience to support and help change the lives of veterans or those who have or are either on recovery duty or facing discharge from the Armed Forces?

About Us: We are a “family” of caring individuals who strive to help give people a new focus and a fresh start in life. Our ethos is to ‘connect, engage and empower’ – taking steps that will improve a person’s overall mental health and wellbeing through community volunteering.

Our Armed Forces Community team provide in-depth, non-time limited support to veterans and personnel on recovery duty (PRD) across England. A partner to the Personnel Recovery Centres (PRCs) and many charities, we help people make the transition from the Armed Forces into civilian life and support veterans who have “fallen through the cracks” and receiving little support long after their departure from military life.

About You: You will be an approachable, self-motivated and determined individual with a good understanding of the military discharge processes. Your role will see you providing one to one intensive support to clients: exploring new opportunities, skills and interests and supporting them into suitable placements, and enabling them to feel a sense of fulfilment and improved overall wellbeing. A confident and proactive self-starter, you will be encouraged to develop your referrer and charity partner network across the North and work with us in sharing our positive outcomes with our key funders and supporters.
