Pro rata of £22,801 – £24,679 per annum

22.5 hours per week

Fixed term contract until 31 March 2023

Are you ex-forces and looking for a challenging and rewarding role?

Are you passionate about recovery from substance misuse?

We have an exciting opportunity for a part time post working with serving Armed Forces personnel, Veterans, Reservists and their families who have substance misuse issues and PTSD. You will work with individuals, undertaking referrals and assessments, managing a caseload, completing recovery care plans, and providing information, advice and needle exchange to substance users. The post will also involve supporting groups and general administration tasks for the Outside the Wire Manager.

A key responsibility of the role will be to collect data, statistics and client case stories to support the future funding of the service; therefore, you must be highly organised, with good administrative and report writing skills.

The role is home based with an office available in Norwich when needed. It will involve establishing and overseeing the running of support groups for veterans and their families as well as arranging one-to-one visits in person across the whole of Norfolk, as needed. The ability to travel across the county will therefore be an essential requirement.

This post is restricted to veterans of the Armed Forces. This post has funding until the end of March 2023.

The Matthew Project is a value driven charity working across East Anglia giving help and hope through programmes with adults, young people and communities affected by drugs and alcohol. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, of any faith or none.

The role will require the successful candidate to undertake an enhanced DBS check prior to starting employment.
