The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity – Commissioning Project Manager

***THIS JOB VACANCY HAS NOW CLOSED***

The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity’s (RNRMC) vision is for a world in which our sailors and marines and their families are valued and supported, for life. We strive toward this by working with others to provide support to those in need, dependents after bereavement, the Serving community, and Veterans.

The charity awards up to £10 million each year to help serving and former sailors and marines and their families, with the aim of ensuring they feel valued and supported, throughout their lives. We support the serving community through improvements to working environments, efficiency, morale, welfare, sport and adventurous training, and veterans and families through a wide range of services and partnerships.

As a confident self-starter with experience in the welfare and commissioning world, you will share our passion and values in making a real difference by researching beneficiary need and putting together partnership programmes to support our proactive and preventative work.

You will be responsible for supporting, coordinating and leading projects and workstreams to deliver our strategies and goals. Key to this will be working closely with the military sector, our beneficiaries, statutory bodies and other charities, using an effective and collaborative partnership approach that ensure our funds deliver the outcomes our beneficiaries need and deserve. As part of our busy grants team, you will support our internal and external assurance processes, systems and corporate governance to ensure grip on value for money, and the performance indicators of our change programmes.

The successful candidate will be a confident communicator who is able to act on their own initiative and work closely with senior colleagues, partners and stakeholders across the complexity of the whole armed forces support system.  You will have experience of supporting change, be able to successfully manage projects and have the ability to actively seek out opportunities and new ways of working which improve outcomes for our beneficiaries.
