This year marks a significant milestone: 10 years of the Covenant Fund.
The annual £10m grants pot – pledged by government in perpetuity back in 2015 – has now been at work for a decade; delivering support, connection, and change across the armed forces community.
It has supported hundreds of projects making a real lasting difference to veterans, service families, reservists and those who stand beside them.
From mental health support and employment training to community hubs and the needs of service children and families – these stories are truly inspiring. That’s why we want to hear from you!
We want to hear your story
We’re creating a special short film and gallery to tell the story of the last 10 years through the voices of grant holders and beneficiaries. Could your project be one of the stars?
If your project’s had a Covenant Fund grant, send us your story to represent the difference it made for someone you work with. We want to hear your “then and now” stories. Whether you received a grant, ran a project directly or benefited from one, we’d love to re visit how things started, where they are now, and the difference it has made.
Did you receive funding for a Local Grants project which supported community integration? Perhaps you were one of the 24 projects which received a share of £4.3M under our Families in Stress programme, supporting families in need of immediate, short-term support. During the Covid pandemic, our Forces Communities Together programme offered support during a time of immense restriction; and our Sustaining Support for Armed Forces Communities programme helped sustain those projects and services the armed forces community use and value.
However you benefitted from this community-focused funding, share your story with us and be part of this momentous milestone.
