Combat Stress

Combat Stress – Corporate Fundraising Officer

***THIS JOB VACANCY HAS NOW CLOSED***

Full time, permanent, 37.5 hours per week
Band 5, £22,234 to £23,710 plus 5% fringe allowance up to £1,690

Combat Stress is the UK’s leading mental health charity for veterans, providing free specialist clinical treatment and welfare support to ex-servicemen and women across the UK with mental health conditions. We treat conditions including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression and anxiety. The delivery of our specialist support is only made possible through a strong fundraising strategy and a talented team of fundraisers within the charity.

In your role as the Corporate Fundraising Officer, you will help the Partnership and Sponsorship Manager to implement the departmental strategy in line with KPI’s and to generate vital funds that are key to the continued support of our veterans.

You will join the charity at an exciting time, working with us as we approach our Centenary celebrations in 2019.  Using your experience and strong interpersonal skills, you will be creative in sourcing potential corporate partners and able to confidently present to them, whilst at all times promoting and raising awareness of the work and clinical excellence of Combat Stress.

As the first point of contact for all corporate partner queries and communications, you will have a naturally friendly and enthusiastic demeanour. You will be adept at relationship management as well as being a skilful organiser.  Using your own initiative, you will update and maintain accurate supporter records on our Raiser’s Edge database. This is a brilliant oppurtunity for someone who wants to develop in the role within the Fundraising department.

You will have the opportunity to attend training when necessary to further your knowledge and experience within corporate fundraising.

What we offer

You will work within a charity that is growing and evolving at an exponential rate for the climate and one that has a fantastic cause and committed follower base.

Combat Stress operates a salary scale which works similarly to the NHS Agenda for Change system.  We enhance the scale by 1.5% and have an annual appraisal system to support training and development opportunities.

In addition we offer the following benefits;

  • 25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays
  • competitive stakeholder pension scheme – contributions matched up to 10% of salary
  • childcare vouchers
  • discount shopping vouchers
  • cycle to work scheme
