Status:         Permanent

Salary:         Band 5, £29,553 – £36,166, per annum, dependent on experience, plus 5% Outer London Fringe Allowance

Hours:         Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 16:30 – Hyrbid working, 2 days in the office, 3 days at home

About Us:

Combat Stress is the UK’s leading mental health charity for veterans. For over a century we’ve been helping former servicemen and women deal with issues like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. Today we provide specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues related to their military service. We provide a range of community, outpatient and residential mental health services to veterans with complex mental health problems. We provide services in-person, and via phone and online.

About the role:

An opportunity has arisen for a Planned Giving Officer to join our growing award winning team. We are responsible for both legacy fundraising and administration as well as in memory giving. This is a real growth area in the fundraising team and one you will be an integral part of.

You will be working with the Head of Planned Giving and the Senior Planned Giving Officer. This role will involve a certain amount of administration, complying with Charity Commission Guidelines. Also you will be helping with supporter enquiries and interactions so must be comfortable talking with supporters. This is an exciting role as you will be part of the team which ensures supporters are aware of how vital gifts in Wills are as well as sharing the work of Combat Stress.

About you:

You will be excited about the opportunity and will have a ‘can do’ attitude. You will be happy taking the initiative to ensure tasks are completed. A good telephone manner is essential as well as a caring attitude. In return you will be part of something that makes a real difference to the lives of veterans.

This role is subject to a DBS check.
