DMWS is an international charity that has been providing welfare support to the Armed Forces Community for over 70 years. We are also unique and remain the only military charity and civilian welfare organisation to deploy to areas of conflict to support our Armed Forces.    We are now recruiting a Welfare Officer to join the Birmingham Team, to support the military and their families.

We are seeking a confident self-starter who is compassionate with great inter-personal skills and who can demonstrate a natural empathy for the Armed Forces.

Working as part of a team you will be supporting the military community when they are in hospital (inpatient and outpatient), or receiving treatment in community based health facilities.  The role involves, on a rota basis, out of hours and weekend emergency cover.   All DMWS Welfare Officers are expected to be mobile and deployable.

In return, you will be working within a friendly and supportive environment, making a real difference and receiving great benefits.
