DMWS – CPN/Mental Health Nurse

Location: Northampton/Wellingborough
Contract: Permanent 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Circa £36,000.00 (Band 6 NHS equivalent)

Are you a passionate, dedicated RMN/CPN looking for your next role? Do you possess an unrestricted RMN registration with the NMC and have 2 years relevant experience? Can you show evidence of CPD and training, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy training, or similar? DMWS is looking for a CPN/Mental Health Nurse to join our team within Northamptonshire.

We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills, who can work as part of a team. You should be compassionate and committed to supporting the police service. Working as part of a team you will be supporting Police Officers including making an initial assessment, ongoing care planning as well as delivery of treatment.

You will interact with DMWS welfare officers and assess the holistic wellbeing of our service users. The service will be developed through face-to-face contact and remotely, you should be willing to work flexibly to meet job demands.

A complex role, the candidate will be able to work collaboratively within the OHU facility whilst remaining a DMWS Health and Wellbeing Professional. You will be responsible for contributing to the mental health/psychological support strategy team, establishing rapport with everyone on the multi-disciplinary team and agreeing a baseline modus operandi for / with each person.

The candidate will work collaboratively with all local stakeholders including: –

  • Occupational Health Service
  • Counsellors,
  • Human Resources,
  • Head of Cultural Change,
  • Other relevant parties.
