Location: Andover – Hybrid remote
Contract: Flexible, 3 to 5 days a week
Salary: 50,000 to 55,000 per annum (pro rata)

Defence Medical Welfare Service is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our team at our head office in Andover.
As an experienced and qualified Accountant, you will provide the charity with strong Management Accounts skills, including reporting, stakeholder management and risk mitigation work. You will work as part of a small, dedicated team responsible for the effective management and control of the financial functioning of a medium sized dynamic Charity.
You will also be responsible for mentoring the financial/general administrator and overseeing their financial work. This role will be responsible for managing the annual external audit process and preparation of statutory financial statements.
The ideal candidate will need to have strong technical accounting and leadership skills with the ability to provide solutions in complex situations. An understanding of the charity sector as well as experience using Sage 50 would be useful.
