F4H recently reached a tremendous milestone: Course 100 was delivered at The Brathay Trust in the Lake District.
Since 2008 we have provided support for nearly 800 veterans and leavers (plus spouses where appropriate) who have found the transition from the military more difficult than expected. To help mark the prestigious occasion, our usual Spring Symposium was delayed and held concurrently with Course 100. In addition, a Trustees’ board meeting convened on the Sunday. Quite a few of us, therefore, descended on The Lakes for the weekend! Also, we invited back a number of former delegates – one of whom spoke to Course 100 about his own journey since his course (by his own admission an impossible task ‘before’) – whilst encouraging others to become Ambassadors or Friends of F4H. They all said yes! The evening meal on the Saturday began low-key celebrations and allowed our newest Trustees to meet our great supporters and chat with some of our delegates – one has to visit the course, to soak up its character and atmosphere as well as experience Brathay’s surroundings to truly understand what it is F4H delivers and the benefits that may be reaped: the beginnings of a new journey.
Big thanks to The Brathay Trust for the last 10 years’ support and allowing us to take over much of their facilities for the weekend.
Here’s to the next 100 courses!
