There’s been a huge amount of change on the SFA front in the year since the MOD bought back more than 36,000 military homes from Annington.
So over the next few months we’re turning our focus on military housing, detailing some of the improvements as well as what they mean for you.
We’ll highlight recent policy changes, including more freedom to make your SFA feel like home with permanent enhancements like shelves or even decking.
The new colour palette prompted a lot of interest when it was introduced in October. Have you taken advantage of it to paint your internal walls in any of the new shades?
We’ll also take a look at some of the differences you can expect when you go on an overseas assignment, whether you’re moving into family housing or SLA.
Shaping the future
Your input was vital in building evidence for the recommendations in the new Defence Housing Strategy. We’ll look at the key themes that emerged following the questionnaire more than 6,000 of you took the time to complete, including modernisation of SFA and eligibility.
