Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) is excited to announce Gordon Michie has been appointed as its new Director North, joining the charity’s Senior Leadership Team to lead and expand RNRMC’s presence across Scotland and Northern England.
In his role as Director North, Gordon will be the senior representative of RNRMC in the region, championing the needs of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines and Royal Fleet Auxiliary communities, their families, and local veterans. He will build on the charity’s recent regional strategy, strengthen key relationships with naval and civilian partners, increase awareness of RNRMC’s work, and help grow both services and fundraising across the North of the UK.
Gordon brings extensive experience from across the military and charitable sectors. A veteran of the Royal Air Force, Gordon has spent much of his career in senior fundraising and leadership roles, most recently leading fundraising and learning functions at a major UK veterans’ charity. His deep understanding of serving personnel, veterans and the charitable landscape will be invaluable in helping RNRMC deliver its long-term strategic goals across the North.
